CURRICULUM 2021
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework was revised in September 2021. This document can be found at the following link...https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2
We are proud to share our new curriculum which we launched in September 2021 in line with the new statutory framework.
Our curriculum has been intricately planned, based on the skills and knowledge we intend our children to develop during their time in the reception year and beyond. Our curriculum enables children space and time to develop interests, fascinations and wonder, which drives our planning to take children to their next step in learning and ensures they can reach their potential.
The EYFS Statutory Framework states the following...
‘Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right. Good parenting and high quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.’
The EYFS curriculum is divided into 7 Educational Programmes:
Communication and Language
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Physical Development
Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the World
Expressive Arts and Design
We provide exciting and inspiring activities and experiences for children under each of these areas of learning. These are found on our Curriculum Map, which we are also proud to share with you.
