Spring Term 2 - Space

Term 4- Space
 
The topic for term 4 is Space! Such a busy term with a lot to fit in...watch this space! We start our topic with a fantastic space themed Role Play area- our own Space Shuttle role play kit, complete with a computer, phone and a space checklist. 
 
The children (and the teacher!) were very interested in learning all about the planets in the solar system. They particularly enjoyed this video showing the difference in the size of them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssAHq2Ryagw

It is called 'Space Race!' We learnt what each planet is like, for example, Saturn has 7 rings. 
 

 

 
We have been reading and acting out the story 'Whatever Next' by Jill Murphy. 
We all helped to make a story map so that we could re-tell the story with actions and sound effects too!
