Welcome to Class 6!
In our classroom, we have a positive attitude to learning and we always strive to be the best that we can be. As the oldest children in the school, we are responsible, motivated and mature in all that we do. This year is going to be a very exciting year, with the different learning opportunities and experiences that the new topics will bring. Year 6 is an important year and I will be looking for the Year 6s to be role models to the younger years. I’m sure that it will be a really positive year!
Class Captains and House Captains have been chosen and all of Class 6 have already been really helpful showing their Little Oak buddies around.
Dates for the Term:
14th Feb – Term 3 ends at 3:15pm
24th Feb – INSET day. School closed to pupils
25th Feb – Term 4 begins at 8:45am
Our regular PE days will be every Tuesday with Mr Lucy. Please can you make sure that your children have their (named) PE kit in school: a white t-shirt, black shorts and daps for outdoor activities. The children may also wear a tracksuit for outdoor PE in the colder months.
This term, homework will be sent out each Thursday and will be due in the following Thursday. The pieces which will be sent out will be from their SATs revision guides. It is important that pupils are bringing their revision guides in each day and are completing their homework as it will help them to reinforce the learning in class.
To help with homework, there will be a Year 6 SAT’s survival club after school each Thursday from 3:15 to 4:00pm. Spellings will continue to be given on a Monday for a test on the Friday of that week.
