Term 4

Our topic in term 4 was...
Riotous Royalty!
We have had such a fun time finding out about the wonderful Royals in British history.
We began with a treasure hunt, finding clues to artefacts that Kings and Queens would have and thinking about what they would use them for. We then thought about what it would be like to be a King or Queen and what rules we would introduce.
We really enjoyed learning about the infamous Richard III, which included holding a debate to decide whether he was a wicked murderer or if it was just a rumour.
Our learning also included a visit to Farleigh Hungerford Castle, which was once owned by King Richard III. Here we found out how medieval royalty might have lived.
We followed this up with our fantastic Medieval Day, where everyone had great fun dressing up in medieval costume. Our day included baking bread and gingerbread, making shields, playing games and finished with a medival banquet, where we feasted on medieval-style foods, including our lovely bread and gingerbread.
Take a look at our photos to see what we've been up to.
