Term 4 - Class 2

This term we are getting really excited as we learn about the local area in our topic:
Out and About
(Due to school closures, this has been moved from Term 5.)
As an old mining village, Radstock has so much history, with so much for us to learn. Keep checking back to find out what we have been doing!
Exploring the local area
Radstock used to look very different from how it looks today, with two train lines running through it and two train stations in the centre of the town. The trains had a very important role of transporting coal from the extensive collieries in the area to the local gas works.
Have a look at our photos of our local area below.
Our Key Instant Recall Fact (KIRF) this term is  "I know the multiplication and division facts for the 5 times tables"

Please have a look at the knowledge organiser below, to support your child in learning these facts. The following online games can support your child in learning these facts. Click on the links below to take you to the webpage.

We will be checking progress for this throughout the term to see how your child is getting on with their learning.
Discovering Radstock and Writhlington's history
As part of our topic, Class 2 were given the challenge to go on a walk in the local area, searching for clues and evidence of how Radstock used to look in the past.
