Term 4

Our topic this term is....

Riotous Royalty!

In Term 4 we are going to be busy finding out about the wonderful Royals in British history.

The children have already been inspired and have brought in some wonderful holiday homework to show the learning they have done so far.

In class we have begun the topic by examining artefacts that Kings and Queens would have and thought about what they would use them for. We have thought about what it would be like to be a King or Queen and what rules we would introduce.

Later in the term we will be learning about the infamous Richard III and deciding whether he was a wicked murderer or if it was just a rumour and we shall be finding out about and comparing  the lives of Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Victoria.

Our topic will finish with a spectacular medieval day, where the children will be sure to have great fun dressing up in medieval costume, baking bread and gingerbread, making shields, playing games and finishing with a medieval banquet, where we will feast on medieval-style foods, including our lovely bread and gingerbread.
