School Closure

Following the government's decision to temporarily close all schools, all children in Class 2 have been provided with a Home Learning Pack so that they can continue their learning at home.
Please encourage your child to complete all activities in the pack as this will help to consolidate children's current learning and introduce the new learning that they are expected to achieve by the end of Year 2. However, please do not expect your child to complete all of the pack in one go! The work that has been set is expected to last about two weeks, during which additional activities will be allocated on Mathletics and Purple Mash.
All children have been given their password cards for all of the online platforms that we use in school. These are: Teach Your Monster to Read, Mathletics, Purple Mash and Times Tables Rockstars. Purple Mash is a new platform for the children, so they may need support with this as they begin to find their way around the site.
We also ask that you continue to listen to your child read every day, as usual. There is a wide range of online texts, should you need more reading material for your child. Please find all links below on the 'Useful Websites' section.
This is a very unsettling time for us all and I know that you will undoubtedly want the very best for your child, just as I do. I will endeavour to support you and your child remotely, as I would do in class. By working together, we can do the very best we can to ensure that our lovely Year 2s continue to reach their potential.
Kind regards
Mrs Adamson
