Nursery - Little Acorns

Welcome to St. Mary’s Nursery, Writhlington

- Enabling and Nurturing Happy Little Learners -

We welcome children aged 2 – 4+ years.

2 year olds must turn 3 in the academic year they wish to begin.

We are inclusive and support children with SEND.

Exciting news: we have now extended our opening hours! We currently run the following sessions...

Monday - Friday 9:00 - 3:00

The Nursery is led by three qualified Early Years practitioners, Dee, Val and Lucy, who use their expertise to inspire and guide young children. The reception class teacher, Miss Hamblin, leads the nursery team to ensure children are supported through their early years until they reach school age.

We support children to develop through fully inclusive, playful activities in line with the statutory early years curriculum (EYFS), which are based on seven areas of learning - Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language; Physical Development;  Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the World; and Expressive Arts and Designs.

We share stories, nursery rhymes, songs, physical activities, snack times and circle times during our sessions. We also provide rest times for children during a nursery session.

For all enquiries, please contact the school office.
