A Summer Message!

A message to all Year 2 children and parents
This summer term has gone by so quickly and we've all been doing lots of different things.
While most of you are continuing with your learning at home, some of you have returned to school, working with new teachers, in a different classroom and making new friends. It's been so lovely to see you and I've heard that you've been enjoying being back at school.
I've also loved seeing the home learning packs that have been returned to me and I've heard wonderful things from your parents about what you have been doing at home.
It's been such a shame that we couldn't all be together over the summer term and so I am really looking forward to seeing those of you that can return on Thursday 16th July for our 'Pod Picnics'. I will make sure that we have a fun time together, and you'll also get a chance to see your new Year 3 teacher and ask her any questions you might have about moving to Year 3.
In this last week, your home learning will be a little bit different. I would like you to have a go at completing some of the fun Summer Challenges (from twinkl.co.uk) below. There are 30 things to do. How many will you complete?
You might also like to try the library summer reading challenge. This year the reading challenge is called 'Silly Squad'! You can find it at:
If I don't see you before the holidays, I hope you have a wonderful summer and I look forward to seeing you back at school in September. Remember to give me a wave if you see me around school!
